Cauliflower Peas Sabji



Ingredients:


Cauliflower - florets from one medium sized flower

Peas - 2 handful

Onion - 1 big sized finely chopped

Oil - 4 tbsp / Butter


To make paste:

Tomato - 1 Medium

Ginger - 1 inch piece

Garlic - 10 cloves

Cardomom - 1


Spice powders:


Red Chilli powder - 1 heaped tsp

Coriander powder - 3 flat tsp

Kashmiri chilli powder - ½ tsp

Garam Masala - ½ tsp

Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp

Salt - to taste



Instructions:


  1. In a wide bottomed, thick pan add oil/butter, onions and saute till soft.

  1. Make a paste of the ingredients in the to grind table and add it to the onions. Mix well.

  1. Once the paste is cooked, add in all the spice powders.

  1. Give it a quick mix. Add 1 and half cups of water and allow it to boil till the raw smell goes off and oil/butter starts to separate.

  1. Add in Peas and allow it to cook for 5 minutes closed.

  1. Once the peas are cooked, add in cleaned cauliflower (Boil water, add turmeric powder and salt. Throw in the cauli florets and let it rest for 5 minutes. Later discard the water and wash the florets).

  1. Mix well and cook till the water is absorbed.

  1. Serve with hot rotis, dosa, pulav, steamed rice or Jeera rice.
